About KHCF and KHCC in Jordan

By admin, 6 October, 2024

Founded by Royal Decree by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan in 2001 as an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center were established to transform the bleak status quo of cancer in Jordan, and restore hope and health to patients across the Kingdom and the region.

In pursuit of that goal, under the steadfast leadership of its Chairperson, HRH Princess Ghida Talal, KHCF and KHCC have grown into the largest community-based organization in Jordan, dedicated to combating cancer.

With state-of-the-art facilities and a team of over 400 highly qualified oncologists and consultants, KHCC is renowned as a global leader in cancer treatment, prevention, and patient care. The Center currently treats 70% of cancer cases in Jordan and serve thousands of patients from across the Arab world. In fulfilling HM King Abdullah II's vision of establishing a world-class cancer treatment and research facility, KHCC has forged strategic partnerships with renowned institutions such as MD Anderson and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with accreditation from the Joint Commission International as the first disease-specific medical center outside the United States – one of several international accreditations held by the Center.

Today, the Center has become the cornerstone of cancer care in the Arab World, and a lifeline for thousands of patients, including refugees and underserved populations.
