HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), inaugurated a renovated playroom in KHCC’s Pediatric Department in the presence of HRH Prince Muhammad bin Talal and HRH Princess Rajaa bint Talal. The playroom’s renovation highlights KHCC’s commitment to the strategy of play therapy, which has proved its positive impact in raising the spirits of children with cancer, and enhancing their response to treatment.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) celebrated the start of the new year by publishing their most prominent achievements during 2022. HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of KHCF and KHCC, commended the Center and its staff for continuing to serve 27,000 patients throughout the course of the year, while embracing 6,800 new patients from Jordan and across the Arab world. KHCC witnessed numerous medical achievements during 2022, including the completion of 250 bone marrow transplants with success rates exceeding 85%, which is on par with international rates.
His Majesty King Abdullah laid the foundation stone for the King Hussein Cancer Center's (KHCC) King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein Building in Aqaba. The facility will provide medical care to cancer patients in the southern governorates, instead of having to head to Amman to seek the proper care. King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, listened to remarks by Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the board of trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center.

Get Examined Now." This campaign, led by the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, aims to raise community awareness and encourage Arab women to undergo early detection screenings for breast cancer.
Amman, April 24, 2024 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), launched a new policy paper titled “The Economics of Smoking” which addresses the economic drivers and impacts of tobacco in Jordan during a panel discussion held at the Jordan Economic Forum. The panel discussion included esteemed economists and academics focused on the impact of smoking on the national economy and public health, and was moderated by Dr. Khair Abu Saalik, chairman of the Forum's Board of Directors.
Amman, November 29, 2023 – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited pediatric cancer patients evacuated from Gaza to receive treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). Queen Rania inquired about the health of the nine children and the well-being of their families. Her Majesty was briefed on the children's health conditions and emotional well-being, as well as the treatment protocols by the Center’s medical staff.
Amman, March 2024: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) has launched the fourth cycle of the King Hussein Cancer Research Award. The prestigious award was established by HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) in 2020, with the aim of empowering cancer research efforts that are taking place within the Arab world and/or which focus on cancer in the region.
