KHCF USA is governed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of a dedicated group of professionals who have volunteered their time to support the global fight against cancer.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation USA (KHCF USA) was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2004 with the mission of supporting the life-saving work of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) in Jordan. Through U.S.-based fundraising and awareness campaigns, KHCF USA helps to save the lives of cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan, which stands as the cornerstone of advanced, comprehensive cancer care in the Arab world.
8 June 2022 - His Majesty King Abdullah attended a celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre (KHCC), ranked sixth in the world as a specialised cancer treatment centre.
Amman, 1 June 2022 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) signed a strategic partnership agreement with the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, which was represented by Dr. Pelin Incesu, the vice president of its regional office for the Middle East and Africa. In line with the agreement, AstraZeneca will support KHCF’s endeavors toward fighting cancer in Jordan in multiple areas for the next 3 years.
Amman, August 2022 - HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) inaugurated KHCC’s Healing Garden, which will serve as a unique outdoor space that will enhance patients’ treatment experience, and offer feelings of calm and reassurance for patients and their families. During the event, Princess Ghida stated, “Providing comprehensive care is one of our core priorities, so we created this healing garden to bring calmness and serenity to our patients, and to lift their spirits during treatment.
Amman, November 2022 – HRH Prince Talal bin Muhammad, deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, honored the awardees of the 2022 King Hussein Award for Cancer Research during a ceremony held by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), and HRH Princess Sumaya Bint Hassan. Princess Ghida gave a speech during the ceremony, stating, “This year, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of each awardee of the King Hussein Award for Cancer Research.
Amman, October 23, 2022 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) received a delegation of Spanish guests from the Life Challenge Program “Pelayo Vida Challenge” (conducted under Spanish royal patronage) at KHCC. The program, hosted by the Jordan Tourism Board, selects five cancer survivors annually to take on challenges all over the world and subsequently broadcasts their adventures on various Spanish television channels.

Their majesties were received by HRH Prince Talal Bin Muhammad, special adviser to His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the KHCC.
HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), inaugurated a renovated playroom in KHCC’s Pediatric Department in the presence of HRH Prince Muhammad bin Talal and HRH Princess Rajaa bint Talal. The playroom’s renovation highlights KHCC’s commitment to the strategy of play therapy, which has proved its positive impact in raising the spirits of children with cancer, and enhancing their response to treatment.
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) celebrated the start of the new year by publishing their most prominent achievements during 2022. HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of KHCF and KHCC, commended the Center and its staff for continuing to serve 27,000 patients throughout the course of the year, while embracing 6,800 new patients from Jordan and across the Arab world. KHCC witnessed numerous medical achievements during 2022, including the completion of 250 bone marrow transplants with success rates exceeding 85%, which is on par with international rates.
